The Maryland Sea Grant College is accepting proposals for funding for research projects in Maryland and regionally as well as applications for graduate fellowships.

Maryland Sea Grant requests pre-proposals (see full details) for the funding cycle covering February 1, 2016 to January 31, 2018. Research projects within Maryland's coasts and watersheds focused in three areas will be considered: (1) resilient ecosystem process and responses; (2) sustainable fisheries and aquaculture; and (3) resilient communities and economies. Pre-proposals are due January 28.

Also, the Mid-Atlantic Sea Grant programs (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia) jointly released a request for proposals for collaborative and integrative research across the region that addresses coastal resilience to sea level rise and/or coastal flooding in the region. Pre-proposals are due February 4.

In addition, graduate students may apply for Maryland Sea Grant-supported fellowships: the Knauss, Coastal Management, and Population and Ecosystem Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics fellowship programs.
