One of the aspects of climate change is escalating frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. In this study we investigate the nonlinear dynamics of flood-related house insurance claims in three Norwegian counties and evaluate tipping points, or precipitation thresholds that trigger an increased number of claims. We then develop projections of future insurance claims over 2021-2080, based on different climate change scenarios.
