Purpose:

A partnership between the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the EPA’s Chesapeake Bay Program to promote innovative, cost effective, and sustainable approaches to dramatically reduce or eliminate nutrient and sediment pollution to the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.

Funding Range:

$500,000 to $1 million. The grant requires a 1:1 match in contributions equal to the amount of the grant request.

Restoration Activity:

Demonstrations of innovative technologies, conservation practices and Best Management Practices (BMPs) that have the potential to significantly reduce excess nutrient loads. Demonstrations, within targeted small watersheds, of the most effective and efficient strategies for implementing nutrient load reductions contained in state Tributary Strategies.

Eligibility:

Non-profits, local governments, community groups.
